After seven years in Singapore, Paula McLeod and Jamie Pfaff '77 are moving to Hong Kong just in time for the July 1, 1997, changeover to China. In Singapore Paula worked for Unilever, then did marketing consulting and training on her own. Jamie, who was Leo Burnett's creative director of Singapore, is taking over Burnett's creative direction for China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In preparation for the move, Paul, Jamie, Christina 6, and Charlie 3 are learning Mandarin.

Anne also sent along a nifty brochure touting a daylong business conference, October 16 in New York City, on the subject of "Netting" a hot new system for decreasing exposure to credit and settlement risk while reducing operational volumes, transaction costs, and capital adequacy requirements. Listed as speaker at 10:30 a.m. was Wilson Neely, partner, Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett. His topic: "Deciphering the Complex Legal Requirements of Netting."

Elsewhere on the international scene JillEilertson Rogers and Gary (Hoss) Rogers '77 have moved from Chicago to Mongiers, France.

Not to confuse anyone, but back in Greensboro, N.C., Lee Potter Rogers is also married to a Gary Rogers, a geologist who recently started his own company. On July 3 Lee and Gary had their first child, Grace Elizabeth. Out in Hilo, Hawaii, Glen Swartwout's air and water-quality equipment company, Starfire International, is expanding at about 20 percent a month. Mark Felder is a refrigeration mechanic in Sedona, Ariz. "My wife, Debi, and I live in nearby Cottonwood," writes Mark. "Please write or visit if you're passing through on Route 66."

This year, Michael Elitzer left the family retail business to become president of an insurance brokerage firm in the New York area. Mike, Nancy, and one-year-old David live on the Upper West Side.

After 15 years in New York David Corey has moved with Saatchi & Sattchi Advertising to San Francisco, where he manages a panoply of accounts ranging from food to high-tech.

Lisa Miles McNamara, Frank McNamara '77, and their kids Carolyn 9, Bill 6, and Michael 3 recently moved from Lynnfield to Wenham, Mass. Lisa teaches legal writing at BU School of Law; Frank is general counsel for State Street Managers, an investment firm.

Curt Oberg is a commercial real estate broker at Spaulding & Slye in Boston, where he's worked for almost 15 years. Curt, Sherri, Alison 4, and Eric 2 live in Wellesley. Linda Vincent Spencer provides career-transition consulting with Right Associates in Boston. Linda, Jim, Jared 5, and Jenna 3 live in Cambridge. Will and Ann Priester Towne and their kids, Sam 41/2, and Rachel 3, live in Kempton, Pa., near Allentown. Will is a professor of biology at Kutztown (Pa.) University; Anne is an adjunct professor of art history at Lehigh.

Steve Taylor recently completed his Ph.D in reading, writing and literacy through Perm's Graduate School of Education. He continues to teach English and serve as district administrator in a school district in suburban Philadelphia. Debbie is resuming her career fulltime as a school nurse now that Peter 12, Trevor 8, and Corrinne 7 are all in school.
