Blair Morrissey reports on his trip to St. John's Newfoundland, telling of a memorable boat trip off the shore of the Bird Islands, where murres, kiti-wakes and puffins nest in the thousands. He was surprised to see the name of St. John's main street—Duckworth. "'38ers do get around."

Bob Harvey writes that on June 24 he took a new bride, Marguerite Pendleton, in Atlanta. "After a brief honeymoon in Highlands, N.C., we came north to Yankeeland, where we shall remain until autumn turns to winter."

I regret I must once again report the passing of four more of our classmates, namely Al McSwain, Bill Milliken, BillMcNeil, and Jack Wilhelm.

Johnnie Johnson and Carol spent a bit of their summer visiting their daughters, one in Bangkok and two in California. RoyDickworth's granddaughter, Heather, finished her first year at Dartmouth in a blaze of glory. She was named to the second AilAmerican women's squash team. Roy says she gives the College very high marks.

Brad Jenkins reports a slow but good recovery on surgery to his left leg and foot that he hopes corrects a problem that has plagued him over the past few years. His doctor has promised him that he will be back on the golf course by spring. By the way, his doctor is an alumnus, a brother Phi Gam, a hockey player, and a bird carver. How's that for a set of circumstances?

Our erstwhile ophthamologist, JohnSmillie from Ann Arbor, Mich., has been named a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, yuletide carols being sung by a choir." With those words from The Christmas Song written by Mr. Mel Torme, Jean and I wish you all the merriest and happiest for the upcoming season and may all your troubles be little ones.
