Bob and Claire Reeve are now in their "dream cottage".. .all on one floor and less than a 15-minute walk to downtown Hanover. Their address is 1 Storrs Road, with a telephone number of (603) 643-1919... "If anyone from ' 38 is back in town, give me a call and I'll be glad to welcome them back!"
As a result of overpaying our class dues, Bob reports that "special project #2" has been completed—a planting of four crab apple trees in a little area next to North Mass. "In time, there will be a plaque showing the 1938 gift"
George and Peggy Payne from Omaha, Neb., visited the East Coast in September, cruising from Montreal to Halifax and then to Boston and New York City. George had hoped to include the mini, but the need of early reservations precluded that!
I regret to tell of the loss of another of our classmates...Chuck Bullock, who died on April 28, 1996.
Red Heath sent a recent clipping from The New York Times announcing the marriage of Bill Wyncoop to his friend of 47 years, Roy Strickland. Bill was an English professor at Rutgers for many years, retiring in 1974 as professor emeritus.
Received a "newsy" letter from AlWolff...He and his ladyfriend, Goldye Meyer, on their way for a weekend in Bridgeton, Maine, stopped in Waterford, Maine, in hopes of enjoying a happy hour with Bob and Mary Ross, but, unfortunately, the Rosses were not at home. Al and Ash Lans spent an enjoyable May afternoon in Foxboro, Mass., visiting with Joe Fuchs and Paul Ossen. "We all did a lot of reminiscing and it was great fun." Last February he spent a few days with Adrian and Natalie Weiss in their home in Miami, Fla.
He also tells of a luncheon date he and Goldye had with Westy and DorritWestheimer in Baltimore. "He's still broadcasting weekdays on TV and radio starting at 5:30 a.m."
Enjoy the fall season. For those fortunate enough, take a leisurely ride into the country and enjoy the foliage.
