Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. And now, it's.. .Reunion Recap time. We enjoyed superb weather (save for a bit of rain on Saturday afternoon), some delicious food (I even heard a few kids raving over the PB&J sandwiches and the chocolate cake at the BBQ on Saturday), and the pleasure of catching up with oF classmates, and meeting their spouses and adorable little ones. Lots of people were there, in fact, we broke all attendance records for a 10th reunion: 632 adults, 131 kids, and 412 alumni. We also kicked some serious financial butt by contributing $160,000 to the Dartmouth Alumni Fund. Thank you for your support. Some hearty "thank yous" go out to Dan Katzir, Bill Rodgers, MikeMoody, and Dawn Carey for making the Big Event such a success.
During the Reunion we held elections for new class officers. Before I announce the slate, I'd like to extend a very special "thank you" to our fearless leader, BurgieHoward, for his untiring work, ever-present enthusiasm, and valuable contribution as class president for the past five years. Fortunately, he will be staying on as our vice president under the direction of LizMcClintock (president). Anne Rooney (who resides in Bermuda the lucky girl) will serve as treasurer; I will be your secretary; Peter Gibson and Laura Sankey will be our head agents; Scott Sandell is ready to sit on the Alumni Council. Our minireunion chairs are Stephanie Ferguson,Diarmuid O'Connell, Sara Page, and a "TBD"; and John Marchiony will be our newsletter editor. If anyone is interested in filling the fourth mini-reunion chair position, please contact Liz at .
We are pleased to be representing the class of '86 and want to promote more interactivity among the members of the class, as well as between the class and the College. Let's also continue to contribute positively to our communities and to Dartmouth College and help keep our alma mater at the vanguard of liberal arts education. So, if you have any suggestions, comments, or ideas, you may contact me by mail—address below. And while you're at it, send me some info for the Class Notes!
