Our Summer with André

Andre Gregory, star of the offbeat 1981 Louis Malle film My Dinner with André, teamed up with tine Alloy Orchestra this summer for his latest work, a play called Bone Songs. Gregory was part of the New York Theatre Workshop's fifth annual residency at the Hopkins Center. Will Bone Songs or any of the other four works presented this summer take off? No way to tell. But Hanover seems like a good jumping-off point: last summer Jonathan Larson came to Dartmouth with the workshop. He sang for students a few tunes from a show he was writing. It was called Rent, and it went on to win a Pulitzer, a Tony, and an Obie.
