Fifteen years ago this month, most of us were furiously trying to complete that tough Dartmouth application, by far the longest of any college. My memory is sketchy, but I seem to remember these questions: "How would you like to be remembered by your Dartmouth classmates?" and "Discuss, what you consider to be the most serious problem facing your generation," and "Discuss something you have read that has special meaning to you." Am I close? Feel free to write and correct me—it never occurred to me at the time to keep copies of my applications. If you remember your answers to these questions, we'd love to hear them!

I heard recently from Amy HeisermanSzvetecz, who was married to Charley Szvetecz in June 1995. Charley works for Chubb Insurance and was transferred to Singapore shortly after their wedding, so Amy put her advertising career on hold and has taken the opportunity to sightsee and soak up the local culture. The couple have traveled to Hong Kong, Bali, and Malaysia, and have upcoming trips planned to Thailand and Australia. Amy has also taken up a new profession—parenting. Son Ryan was born in September 1996, and Amy certainly has her work cut out for her trying to teach the little guy how to spell his own last name!

Speaking of babies, I have two more arrivals to announce. Mike and ElizabethWeidberg Maciag add their names to the list of spring births with the debut of Matthew David on March 6. Elizabeth has found motherhood so satisfying that she has decided to stay home with Matthew fulltime, and couldn't be happier. TomMiner is now a father of three, with the arrival of Grace Elizabeth on July 4. Grace joins big brothers Daniel 3 1/2 and Andrew 22 months. Tom was promoted in June to major in the army and is currently a fourth-year general surgery resident at Walter Reed Hospital. So, Tom, how many times a day are you addressed as Major Miner?

Kevin Wilkins has a major new job of his own. After five years at Fidelity Investments, he joined State Street Research & Management Cos. in August as vice president for product management. Kevin directs the sales and marketing of State Street's retail mutual funds and oversees new product development.

If you happened to tune in to channel 24 in Boston on March 19, that was KellyBonnevie you saw. She appeared on the program Legal Lines, sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers. The program focused on Kelly's specialty, workplace discrimination and harassment. Kelly is a partner in the Newton firm of Wilson, Marino & Bonnevie. Did you know that ChrisMarquardt has a fan club? I know he does because I ended up on his mailing list—just one of the many perks of being class secretary, I guess. Every few months I get an email with his latest concert dates and news about his recordings and videos. His video An Orange Inch of Moon won first place in the 1996 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival and a silver plaque in the 1997 CINDY International Film and Video Festival. Hey, if/you want to receive this kind of news in your own home, you can write to Chris at .

That's it—my news file is completely empty. If I don't hear from any of you guys before my next deadline, I'm just going to have to make stuff up, and it won't be pret-ty. ty. You've been warned. Note my new email address below. The old one will continue to work through February.
