Here's the second installment of Umesh Madan's chock-full- of-information e-mail (see last month's Alumni Magazine for the first one): Drew Warden and Raman Narayanan are fellow software engineers at Microsoft in Seattle. Raman is married to Lakshmi Gopalkrishnan, and he continues to play fabulous squash, amassing a ton of trophies. He's also the star of the Microsoft Cricket Club. For a few months last year Joe Walker was contracting at Microsoft, working on some Web stuff. Ram Subbaroyan writes software in the Bay Area. JooChoi is still in New York, and Johnny Sun is in medical school in Philadelphia. Umesh says he ran into Hasan Zaidi a couple of years back in Bombay, where Hasan was on his honeymoon. He's married to Tahira, an attorney, and is working as a journalist in Karachi, Pakistan.

Gene Buttrill now has time to "have a life" after finishing his first year of Columbia Law School. Reach him at . He spent last summer in China working at a law firm, and reports that Alan Seem is a rising star in Hong Kong with Shearman & Sterling, and Andrew Field is in Shanghai trying to finish his Ph.D. thesis on Shanghainese dancing girls of the 19205. (Not quite sure if that last little update is Gene's idea of a joke, but figured I'd print it anyway. Andy, let me know if he's pulling my leg.)

As always, I've got some marriages to report: Audrey Price was married in Ann Arbor, Mich., in August to Paul DiMarzo (Holy Cross '89). Paula Girouard and Suzie King Kornblum were in the wedding party, and Stephanie Rouzee, JenClark, and Rob Kornblum were also there. Audrey graduated from Harvard Law School last June, and she's in corporate law at Ropes & Gray in Boston. Also in August, Sam Kingsland was married to Margarita Campbell in California. Sam is a portfolio manager in venture capital at the Hambrecht & Quist Group, an investment bank in San Francisco, and Margarita, a Duke graduate, teaches English and history at the Menlo School.

Finally, I attended Greg Tamkin and Rachel Byrne '93's wedding here in Denver over Labor Day weekend. Ned Ertel was the best man, and Perry Brown and Mitch Epner were groomsmen. ShariCarver, Erik Resurreccion, MarjorieCulver, Andy Edison, and a handful of '93s were in attendance, too. It was a weekend of lots of laughs and toasts to Greg's infamous sweater collection. The happy couple honeymooned in Italy for two weeks.
