Dick Everett writes, "We moved to Atlanta in 1951 and never looked back. Initially we found a bit of a challenge and adventure; but ultimately the move turned out to be timely and productive, both professionally and family wise. This is a great, exciting city. The Olympic experience was absolutely great. The handlign dling of five million people in a relatively restricted area was a major assignment and those constituencies responsible for properly so doing deserve enormous credit. More remembrance of Tom Ballantyne (died August 26, 1996). In 1946, when he was discharged from the navy, he wrote, "Spent most of my time on a destroyer whose main claim to fame was keeping the Chesapeake Bay free from German subs." Tom reported next that he made a mistake buying a vacant brownstone on West 44th Street, N.Y.C., to convert into coopscontractor performed miserably. Finally, in 1983 he made the crucial milestone of Medicare eligibility. "Now I have the option of having my kidney stones zapped under the financed aegis of either Blue Cross or Uncle Sam's pocketbook. I guess this is what the full life is all about."
Mini-reunion October 3 and 4, 1997. Plan for a wonderful New England weekend. If you haven't attended before, come join classmates for the Cornell football game and experience again the beauty of fall in Hanover. If not this year, how about Lafayette on Oct. 3, 1998, and Colgate on Sept. 25, 1999?
