Short and sweet this month. Banc One Investment Advisors Corp. has seen fit to name Ed Cowart manager of The One Group Large Co. Value Fund, which is the proprietary mutual-fund family of Banc One Corp. Ed has been managing investment accounts there since 1990.

Jon Shastid checked in the other day to say that he had left Odwalla just prior to when the juice hit the fan and is now in Louisville with Universal Communications. If you want to talk to anyone in the known universe, he's the guy who can set you up.

The übiquitous Dick Glovsky and lovely wife Nancy spent some time in Tucson with Jackie and Bob Lundquist this past winter, where he learned two important facts. First, they are expecting a child in May and second, their dog can sing, which is fortunate since Bob's voice just hasn't been the same since the 25th Reunion. While they were there, Pat and Jim Ross dropped by for dinner. Jim is in the gold exploration business and he and Pat are on their way to Rio where they have rented a home on Ipanema Beach. The Lundquists, meanwhile, will be heading east to join Bill Donovan, Steve Adams, Bob Sturges, and possibly Vic Chaltain (all with families) for a mini-reunion on Nantucket Island. I've heard Sturges and Adams sing so I hope Bob brings the dog.
