Paul Stein of Summit, N.J., (writes that classmate FranNoel is now a professor at the University of Montana in Bozeman, where he teaches both printmaking and water color. Paul says that a print of Fran's was selected to be part of an exhibition in all 50 states, adds that it seems that one Printmaker in each state was so selected, and mentions that he and his wife, Marge, liked one of Fran's early (1959) paintings so much that it still hangs in their home. The Cortland (N.Y.) Standard reports that John Folmer and his wife, Carol, were honbred ored for ten years of dedication to the cause of the local Seven Valleys Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. According to the Standard, both were instrumental in creating the ten-year-old organization and in seeing it through some rough financial times, and both were hopeful that the necessary sary community involvement and awareness to see the organization through will continue John has practiced law in Cortland most of his life, and Carol is employed in her hus band's law firm as an executive secretary and paralegal. John is currendy attorney for the town of Cortlandville, N.Y., and is an assistant district attorney. He is a member and past president of the Cortland County Bar Association and a member of the New York State Bar Association, having served on the Latter's committee on lawyer alcohol and substance abuse.
Congratulations to another attorney, Miami's Bob Josefsberg, on his election as president of the international academy of trial lawyers. Membership in the lATL, which was chartered in 1954, is limited to 500 fellows in the United States. Additionally, there are 130 fellows from 30 countries. Its purpose is to promote the science of jurisprudence, promote reforms in the law, facilitate the administration of justice, and elevate the standards of integrity, honesty, and courtesy in the legal profession. Bob specializes in commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense work. He served as general counsel to (former) Governor Bob Graham (of Florida) in 1980. Among his other law-related activities, Bob is a member of the United States Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Criminal Rules and has been a member of the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on the Judiciary.

It was a wide-ranging discussion covering pricing, career paths, the Internet, the promises and pitfalls of new technological tools, changing customer relationships. and changes in the very definition of the term "marketing."
