Nananda Col, M.D., was in a Worcester bookstore to sign copies of her new book, A Woman Doctor'sGuide to Hormone Therapy: How to ChooseWhat's Right for You. Nanada lives in Worcester with her husband, Dr. Chee Wai, and their two children. She practices internal medicine at New England Medical Center in Boston and is on the faculty of Tufts University School of Medicine.
Ellen Groetch La Berge, Esq., recently joined the Syracuse office of C&S Co. as general counsel. She also serves as director of the Frank Hiscock Legal Aid Society and is a member of the Onandaga Park Association. Ellen lives in Syracuse with her husband, Rob, and two children.
Marc Lewis joined the executive search firm of Christian & Timbers Inc. as a principal. Marc was previously senior vice president of Handy Associates and makes his home in Darien.
This summer Rich Entel M.D., had an exhibit of his art in Rockland, Maine. Rich practices medicine at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice in Augusta and "incorporates medical imagery and symbolism into his artwork with a focus on embryology and the multiplicity of body parts." Rich paints in oil on wood panels and finds inspiration for any of the titles for the paintings in the poems of South American poet Pablo Nerutla.
Donald G. Bennett III, now known as Abdul Maalik Bennett, is devoted to bringing Muslims and Christians together in candid dialogue. Abdul is a fulltime teacher of Spanish and religion at the Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park, Ill., and considered a valuable link between American Muslims and foreign Muslims. He develops the agenda for a regular interfaith dialogue at the foundation and leads a prayer group that moves throughout the Chicago area.
Abdul is hopeful that more Americans will try to understand what the Muslim community is really about. He believes that "our similarities are enormous, which means we can work on many things together."
Father Gerald Murray has been appointed as a judge in the Metropolitan Tribunal. Father Murray spent the last four years at the Gregorian University in Rome, where he earned a doctorate in canon law.
