Tom Brooks sent us a letter from Bill Carter's wife, Ethel, describing how Bill was knocked down by a truck while crossing the street, was swooped up by an ambulance, and taken to the hospital where he was examined. No bones broken, and two days later he was home, up for his short walks, ushered in church, and attended his navy reunion at the yacht club. As Tom says, "Now there's a survivor."
