The annual report of the Athletic Sponsors Program said about John Manley: "One of the most loyal and generous supporters in the history of Dartmouth athletics."
Tom George had a sale of his drawings, watercolors and pastels at his Greenhouse Drive home in Princeton, N.J., to raise money to renovate the local arts council building and to construct a new addition. Tom is an internationally recognized artist whose work is included in the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Guggenheim Museum, the National Gallery of American Art, the Tate Gallery, the Princeton University Museum, the Institute of Advanced Study and the N.J. Stet Whitcher has attended 33 Alumni Colleges and Joe Burnett 18. The topic this year was "Asia: Miracle or Meltdown." Lectures on Japan, Korea, China, the Philippines, Malaysia and India from historical, cultural, economic, anthropological and other perspectives were presented by excellent members of the Dartmouth faculty from various departments. A survey of the role of the IMF by a young woman on leave from there and teaching at Dartmouth was absorbing and moderately optimistic. Stet and Joe agree that in addition to a stimulating subject you get a great feeling for the dynamics of today's Dartmouth.

Gil Myers was back in Hanover this past summer and reported: "The construction and changes going on in Hanover are astonishing. There seem to be more commercial establishments than in past years, more College facilities up or under construction, no College Hall as it was—my home freshman and sophomore years. But much to recall nevertheless."
A thank you from Robert Reeves, an Athletic Sponsors Program recruit of the class of 2003. "My official visit was the biggest reason that I chose to attend Dartmouth. After my visit I knew that Dartmouth was for me. The time spent touring the campus, viewing the facilities, meeting the coaching staff and socializing with other football players and students was wonderful."
