Brewer Doran kindly forwarded a bunch of e-mails about the fall mini-reunion. Martha I and Steve Hennessey attended. Their daughter KJ is an '02 and a member of the a capella group Dodecophonics, which performed at Fall Fling that Saturday night. Among other attendees was RobSaltzman. Rob, known as "Dean Salzman" to the terrified hordes of law students at USC, came east to attend the Rockefeller Center board of visitors meeting in October and made it to Hanover in time for the Homecoming game. Rob can be reached at rsaltzma@law.usc.edu.

Dr. Andy Gettinger is working at Mary Hitchcock, living in Hanover, and still missed the mini-reunion. He reports, "It's just not fair—I am always out of town when the class gets together! I did connect with AmandaGreen last weekend. Amanda was here for Leadership Weekend as a regional club's officer. Scott and Mary Brown and I took her (with an assortment of kids) to the trained bear show at Clark's Trading Post." Thanks to Brewer for passing the news along.

Beth Howard Wilkens and BruceWilkens now have two children at the College—Matt is a junior and Julie just started as a freshman. "We've been to Hanover quite a bit in the last two years with Matt there. Had a blast at Sophomore Parents' Weekend in July—felt like college kids doing the "banned" Tubestock thing (saw Richie Horan doing it, too) and just got back three weeks ago from dropping Julie off. We hope to get out in November to see one of Matt's rugby games. Anyway, we will for sure be at the 25th—it's the weekend after Matt graduates so we plan to stay for a week and hike, etc. Hi to everyone! We are doing well and working hard to pay those tuitions!"

Rich Nichols, as fast on his feet as ever, has landed the job of general counsel and vice president, corporate affairs, for the American Basketball League. The ABL launched its first season in 1996. The ABL has 90 women player-employees and nine teams and is growing rapidly. Nick's varied and successful career has included stints as district attorney, civil litigator, legislative aide and running his own sports marketing company. Nick has yet to attend a Dartmouth Lawyers Association meeting or, for that matter, to pay his DLA dues. But, all things in good time.

A few random notes: John Haffenreffer reports that his son Chris was accepted into the class of '03.

Richard Carroll is in Huntington Beach, Calif., with spouse Brigitte and tour children ranging in age from 12 to 3. Richard practices law, "defending physicians in malpractice cases and going to trial roughly ten times a year." Sara Hunter is hard at work compiling the 25 th Reunion Book. Sara hopes to use the class e-list to speed the process along. Don't be surprised if you hear from her soon. Ken Monteiro's hometown paper finally published a report of his appointment as chair of the San Francisco State University psychology department. Dr. Ken's major accomplishment was described as being an "Onset native," proof again that the Massachusetts press is the most parochial in the country ("Hub Man Dies in Titanic Sinking").

That's it for this month. Thanks again to those who wrote! Please send news of yourself and classmates to:
