Another month with no news, so back I go to The Daily Dartmouth, where the January 17, 1937, issue's feature story covers the election of a new directorate...Hal Berman, as editor, will be the chief executive of the paper coordinating editorial and news policies. A member of Junto and Phi Lamda Pi, and former member of The Forensic Union, Berman comes from Hartford, Conn., where he attended Hartford High School. He was on last year's varsity tennis squad and is a Rufus Choate Scholar.

Ash Lans, as associate editor, will be in immediate charge of the editorial department of the paper. He is on the literary staff of the Jack-O-Lantern, is a member of the Junto and has been on freshman and varsity debating teams, as well as co-founder and former director of The Studio Group, and associate director of The Dartmouth news-house party program. Lans lives in New York, where he attended DeWitt Clinton High School.

Lew Kraft as managing editor, who lives in New Haven, will be in charge of news coverage, as well as the technical side of the paper. He attended New Haven High School and Worcester Academy and is a member of the Green Key, the Junto, and the Daniel Oliver Society.

Julie Westheimer is the news editor and is in charge of news and feature writing. He lives in Pikesville, Md., and is a member of Junto, the 1938 Aegis board, and Phi Lamda Pi. He earned his numerals and varsity letter in lacrosse and attended Park School in Baltimore.

Jim Yankauer is the assistant managing editor, whose duties will include aiding both the managing and news editors and taking charge of personnel. He lives in New York where he attended Horace Mann School and is a member of Green Key and a former treasurer of Junto.

John Emerson is a resident of Hanover and prepared at Andover. As sports editor he will be in charge of covering and writing sports. He has been a Hanover correspondent for the Manchester, N.H., Union Leader, and is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon.

Truly a great group.
