This months column features guest notes from Julia Shepherd and Sara Hoagland Hunter, who have been hard at work on next Junes 25th reunion. We are fortunate this energetic group of classmates jumped into organizing the 25 th reunion. I've been impressed with their dedication and hard work on a formidable task. With that, and my personal thanks to all involved, I give you Julia:

"2001:A Dartmouth'76 Odyssey is about to begin. The committee has been working for more than a year already. You should have recently received the first mailing; send in those Green Cards with 'yes.'

"The committee met in Hanover in May and Maine in August and set up an outline of events, from picnics and dinners to art exhibits, symposiums and sports events. As the historic class that we are, we have been given the go ahead on some first-time-ever events!

"Our goal is highest participation ever at a 25th reunion and we want you. Many of you have never been to a reunion. Let us know how we can get you to this one. Scott Simons promises to create a special atmosphere for all of our events. Lynne Brooks is working on great souvenirs. If anyone would like to contribute such things, e-mail Lynne at lblynnebrooks@ aol.com.

"Nick Aponte is our treasurer, Dick Prentice is helping with sports events and Fern Bennett Phillips is creating a great plan for registration and attendance—she maybe contacting you! Julia Miner is on the logo and publicity, and Sara Hoagland Hunter has already captured many of you for the reunion book. Neil Van Dyke is working on beer and wine, and is trying for a special reunion brew.

"Judy Burrows Csatari and I, in Hanover and Denver, are spearheading the entire reunion effort through daily e-mails and long distance calls.

"So mark those dates—-June 14-1712001 and make your reservations. This is a great op- portunity to see each other again, to recall, relive, refresh and renew."

Sara Hunter, as Julia mentioned, is hard at work on the reunion yearbook. Sara sends this reminder:

"Thanks to all who have sent entries already. Congratulations to early entry winners: Dr. Watson, Dr. Jaccarino, Dr. Gergely (why am I reminded of the three stooges..."calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard"), Henry Hart, Tim Beasley, Craig Mills, Stephen Askey (from Indonesia, no less), Paul Hoisington, Mark Friedman, Jeff Hillebrand, Cindy Shannon, Joe Bocock, Kyle Sadlon, Bruce Pfaff, David Harmon, Kim Staggers Blanchard, Richard Phillips, Myron Allen and Craig Stone. Your prizes are in the mail.

"I really didn't want this job but the most fun part has been hearing from everybody. Great e-mails from Katy Spivey Robinson (mom of four, beachwalker, mountain bike rider, computer techie) and from Viola Allen (a star middle school teacher in Radnor, Pennsylvania). Still looking for a winner in the trivia contest. Tim Beasley is the high score so far. Send answers and requests for new reunion yearbook forms to sara@sarahunterproductions.com."

Thanks again to Julia, Sara and the other reunion committee members. I have received notes from a number of classmates (you know who you are) that will appear in the next issue— thanks! As for the rest of you who haven't written (and you know who you are too!), please send news.
