No news of classmates as we were at Moosehead Lake again this year for the summer months, and a strange summer it was, weatherwise. My son Richard W. Lougee '78 was at Yankee Point for two weeks with us, his wife and two sons, ages 4 and 2. Our old Sponson boat was converted into a pirate ship, and a party was given with many little pirates in attendance, ending up with a treasure hunt. Four of the attendees were grandchildren of Dwight "Tad" Foote Jr. '61.
Rip adds: "We sacrifice our visions To the ploy of politicians While we're paying for their antics with our taxes. Then they dun us for donations For their serve-yourself gyrations Through our phones and mail and tying up our faxes. The chaos of their meetings is intentional, And one can hardly say they are conventional."
