'"Round that girdled earth we roam..from the Middle-of-the-Road to Siberia—no one will ever accuse this class of being parochial! It wasn't long after I complained that I never see anyone that Dann Lewis pulled in to my office. Dann now lives in Brunswick, Maine, and is the director of tourism and community development for the state. His neighbors accuse him of creating chaos on the roads by attracting tourists like flies! After battling around the United States from coast to coast as well as the Caribbean, usually in tourism or the airline industry, Dann and family made it back to New England. Suppose it helped Dann that our state's governor is a Dartmouth grad!

On to Siberia: I suppose some of you would think there's not much difference from Maine! Breaking many years of silence, Peter Richmond sends "greetings from Siberia." After graduating from Tuck, Peter spent time with Arthur Andersen and Ford Motor. Along the way he raised three daughters, who have made him a threetime grandfather. Seven years ago, as a bored widower, Peter became associated with the Siberian-American Department of Management and teaches accounting, finance and management to Russian undergraduates in Irkutsk, Russia. Peter feels these past three years have been the most rewarding in his life.

If you are beginning to think you might have problems with "milk punch on a Sunday morning," have John Ferries tell you about the Wilton Seven, of which he is a participant. After previously climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, racing Formula I-type cars and cross-country skiing across the Swiss Alps to Zermatt, this past September the group had a "no-holds-barred glacier climb in die high altitude (18,000 to 20,000 feet) Cordillera Blanca range of the Andes Mountains in Peru." This is the highest tropical mountain range in the world and 13 people had previously lost their lives in 1999 attempting to this climb.

An e-mail from Hartley Paul says that he keeps in touch with his Dartmouth friends in the Bay Area, refuses to mature, continues to work and is enjoying golf and skiing.

If I may editorialize: Some of you have received birthday cards from me, urging you to re-connect. I have had a great response, but many feel I am asking for money—not so! I am honestly seeking news of your whereabouts and I thank you for your response. However, it is sad that any College correspondence relates only to fundraising.

Living vicariously and re-connecting.
