After a long drought, a deluge. So, here goes: Alison Cares sent me a news-packed e-mail. Her first piece of news was on a nuptial note. Ken Gordon proposed to Christy Horner on New Year's Eve. Alison takes great pride in this news because she introduced them to each other sophomore fall. The couple will be graduating in May from the University ofVirginia and moving to N.Y.C. Christy will have aJ.D. and Ken will have a dual J.D. and M.B.A. The wedding will be some time in late spring or early summer of 2001 in central Massachusetts. Alison also wrote to say that Amy Barto will be graduating this spring from UConn Medical School. Amy is looking at residency programs in die northeast. Marie Weisse is living in Philadelphia, Pa., and she will be starting medical school in the fall. Molly McDougal is teaching Latin in a private school down on Cape Cod. Mass. As for Alison, she and her husband, Todd (RPI '95), are leaving San Diego, Calif., after four years. Alison has spent that time working in a domestic violence and sexual assault services agency and will be going to Penn State for a Ph.D. program in crime, law and justice.

Jen Evers also sent me an e-mail with a lot of news. She has finished her master's at Stanford University and moved to Michigan to work at an independent high school, doing admission and financial-aid related work. Although she loves the people, the place and the job, she is leaving after only one year to get married. The lucky guy is Andrew Heitner, a longtime family friend. And the couple will be getting married in November. After the wedding, they will be living in Geneva, Switzerland, where Andrew is on assignment with IP Morsran.

I also got news from Kathryn (Harty)Ross via real mail. She writes that she and Chuck Ross are in Colorado, where Chuck is working at an architectural engineering firm and she is teaching. Both are planning to go to grad school (place yet to be announced) and are excitedly awaiting the birth of their second child in mid-July. Kathryn also wrote to say that Ayat (Yasi) and Jon Ruel are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child at the end of August. Ayat and Jon are now in Flagstaff, Ariz., after spending the fall touring Iran and Germany. Yasi works in holistic medicine and crafts jewelry and Jon is finishing his master's degree in biology at North Arizona University.

Finally, some news I stumbled upon myself. I had dinner with Phil Hoang in Philadelphia, Pa., and he gave me some news about '95s with whom he's kept in touch. Phil is currently doing his residency in radiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. And it seems that radiology is a popular specialty because David Yuan is doing his residency in radiology in Syracuse, N.Y., Aya Kamaya is doing the same in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Andy Hwang will be going down that road in Philadelphia. Final doctor note, RennieMathew is doing a pediatrics residency in Washington, D.C. She is living with Annamaria Steward, who has recently graduated from George Washington School of Law. Gene Yao is also living in Philadelphia, working in a law firm after graduating from University of Virginia Law School. Lastly, Tony Choe and Bryan Kim are both living in N.Y.C.

Thanks for your news. Keep it coming.
