As announced by news letter editor Bob Barr in his excellent June issue, our fall mini-reunion is scheduled for October 28 around the game against Harvard. Bob Haynes, our mini-reunion chair, is making arrangements. Hope to see you there.

Roger Berliner ran last spring against eight other candidates for an at-large seat on the Montgomery County (Md.) Council. Although defeated, Roger, a former congressional staff member and a partner in the law firm of Berliner, Candon & Jimison, P.C., will still have time for his many outside activities that include membership on the board of trustees of the Maryland Democratic Party, sponsoring of the Montgomery County Democratic Forum and coaching with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Baseball Inc. He received his law degree from McGeorge School of Law and lives with his wife and two children in Potomac, Maryland.

Steve Bolster, professor of music at Berea College, was named college and university Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Music Educators Association. He earned his M.M. in choral arts from the University of North Carolina and a D.M.A. in literature and performance of choral music from the University of Colorado.

Bob Ryan, who still keeps "day job" as a law librarian in the Los Angeles firm of Hill, Farrer & Burrill, has appeared in FX networks sitcom Son of a Beach, and his character is scheduled for two more episodes in the fall. The show has been described as a "parody of Baywatch'' but one wonders if such a thing is possible. Try not to miss Bob among his totally buff' and 'ripped" co-cast members.

I am pleased to report that Fred Skillern's nephew Ben Correa from Albany, New York, will be attending Dartmouth in the fall as a member of the class of 2004.

Saw Jim Metzler in a supporting role in Columbia TriStar s Big Brass Ring movie video. The film is set in Missouri and is about the seamy underside of a gubernatorial election campaign.

John was previously with First Plus Financial Group and Perot Systems Corp. He served in the Department of the Treasury in Washington, D.C., as deputy assistant secretary, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, where he was responsible for financial policy for the region. John is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has an M.A. in politics and economics from Oxford and an M.B.A. in finance from Harvard Business School.

Richard Guy was named a partner with the law firm of Vandeventer Black L.L.P in Norfolk, Virginia. Richard has previously served as inhouse counsel to General Electric and as general counsel and president of Commonwealth Health Care Inc.

Since 1995 architect Bill McDonough's company, McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry, has mounted a crusade to reinvent the way industries are run and products are manufactured. The firm designs products and systems that are environmentally friendly and also commercially successful. These products include nontoxic shower gels, fabrics that do not contain mutagens or carcinogens, and dolls made without PVCs. Its clients include Nike, Ciba Geigy, Ford Motor Cos. and The Gap Inc.
