President Charlie Collis is planning what maybe our last mini-reunion for the weekend of September 21.
He asked if the five-year officer terms end at that time, but lacking a copy of the by-laws, I suggested that at our age we are probably sentenced for life. One change: Fran Fenn has had to resign because of health reasons, but nobody could ever duplicate Fran's remarkable service to our class and to the College.
Mildred and John Johannessen were banged up in a winter auto accident in New London, New Hampshire. John seems to have escaped any serious consequences, but Mildred has suffered through a slow and painful recovery.
We are counting upon them to be 100 percent for the mini-reunion, to which they devote many appreciated hours.
Re: dinner speakers for September 21 and 22...suggest we hear from some of our students Saturday evening. Vero Beach is now hitting the jackpot—there's at least one in each of the last two classes. Marvelous young people, heading for important responsibilities.
And now the big news: Charles Blaisdell married Beatrice Favino in White Plains, New York, on March 2,2001. Charlie reminds me that he has two of my oil paintings in his New York apartment. For this important occasion, we have added another one by a better artist, Marlene Putnam's Breezy Day.
