The class of 1945 is blessed with some very active leaders and classmates that make interesting events happen. Eleanor and Tom Armstrong came though Hanover for a brunch at the Inn. The Armstrongs had sold their boat a couple of years ago and acquired a "small" 20foot RV, which they drove to Alaska last year. It was left there over the winter and they will return this year to drive back to Florida in the same leisurely way they went out. The Armstrongs were in Hanover on their way back from having visited Molly and John White in Freeport, Maine, where both couples were able to discuss their organization of the sixth annual mini-mini-reunion in Punta Gorda, Florida. There were 38 people in attendance at the March 2001 gathering and more can be expected next year because all the attendees had a great time. Dorothy and Jim Kehoe, in a phone call, confirmed the wonderful place, food, weather and conversation. President Joe Michael is working on the possibility of other "minis" because of the success of the continuing one in Punta Gorda.

On May 19,2001, Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire, honored Ruth and Don Sisson for their "exemplary community involvement." Colby-Sawyer's Town Award is presented to area residents who have shown extraordinary involvement in, and made noteworthy contributions to, the college. The Sissons exemplify "what's good for the town is good for the college." The list of organizations and efforts with which they have been involved for 13 years includes theatre, church, library, hospital, art, music, history, daycare and the local bandstand programs.

The editor of the Dartmouth Alumni Magazine tells us that the Jan/Feb 2002 issue is to focus on Dartmouth's special places. He is seeking experiences and reminiscences from alumni to write about so if you have any please pass them on to me. Do not forget the class mini-reunion at Quechee, Vermont, on September 28-29,2001, or the mini-mini in Punta Gorda, Florida, in March 2002.
