George Blaesi from Arizona, sad about Dave Kirby s death, recalls his other Brooklyn Poly Prep pals, George Hahn, Eddie Holbrook and Spec Macy. After meeting with the ex-Poly Prep rushing chairman George 8., Eddie and Spec pledged Delta Tau Delta. The freshman five some sometimes got together for a little recreation in Crosby Hall, but Dave frowned on the boisterous conduct of others and would never allow drinking in his dorm room. George is sure most parents would have been happy to have had him as their own. Dave's sense of rectitude soon won everyone's respect.
Alberta (Albert) Gerould of Portland, Oregon, tells us she's an enthusiastic gardener and in 2002 a frequent traveler. In March she visited family and friends in San Francisco. In April she went to Reston, Virginia, to see daughter Sarah, who is with the U.S.G.S. and also does water-colors—comical, whimsical, serious. Log onto www.sarahgerould.com. Fascinating! Then she headeu To West Medford, Massachusetts, forw visit with daughter Susan, who has a graphics business with her husband. In May she took her first Hawaii trip to Kauai. In September she was off to Sweden to explore her grandfathers country with daughter Rosemary. Makes me tired just to recount it.
