To the best of my knowledge there is only one surviving member of the class of 1925, Dr. Radnor Tanzer. In talking to Rad he had this to say about his Dartmouth:
"When I was 13, after seeing a photo in the National Geographic of John Bowler '15, one of the founders of the Mary Hitchcock Clinic, doing a summersault off the old Dartmouth ski jump, I decided to apply to Dartmouth. I have been grateful that for almost all of the 80 years since freshman year I have lived less than a mile from a campus, where buildings, like jewels, are set in rural beauty. The natural beauty of the setting of Dartmouth is so inspiring. It is not only the beauty of the campus that excites but knowing that much intellectual activity was going on in those 'jewels.' "
May I now quote several now-departed classmates? "Dartmouth has meant everything to me." "It was an amazing opportunity for me as I came from a very small high school in Pennsylvania." "It was exciting to find so many classmates who thought as I did." "The continuing Dartmouth connection not only was helpful and enjoyable for me but also my family." It has been your secretary's pleasure over the last 20 years to know this bright, caring, generous, older generation, for whom Dartmouth was one of the greatest highlights of their lives.
