I always like starting out Class Notes with word of Adam Nelson s accomplishments. In early March Adam placed first at the U.S. track and field indoor championships in New York City. He achieved a personal record and made the farthest throw in the world this season at 21.57 meters. That's 70 feet, 9.25 inches!

Michelle Lewis dropped aline with an update on her life. She works full-time in recruitment for American Airlines. She recently started attending business school part-time at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist Universityin Dallas. She plans to complete her M.B.A. by August 2004. "Currently I'm planning to move into financial analysis at AA so that I can better position myself for a promotion after graduation," Michelle wrote. Last June Michelle started volunteering for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, which she first volunteered for as a freshman at Dartmouth.

"I still keep in touch with Victoria Martinez and we are both looking forward to seeing everyone at reunion!" Michelle wrote.

In February Drew Spencer sent an e-mail to say he's started a new job with Okayplayer.com in Philadelphia.

"All-Star weekend in Philly brought a lot of Dartmouth alums together," Drew wrote. "Friday night, I bumped into Brandi Kenner '98 at the Philly All-Star concert. Saturday night Kenny Mitchell had an impromptu party at his house. In attendance was Sea Lonergan (who flew all the way out from San Fran to participate in the weekend festivities, since his team won the hoop-it up tournament last year, they were the returning champions), Brandi Kenner '98, Juan Bell '99, Chris Cerf '00, myself and Kenny. It was an A Phi A mini-reunion.

"I hung out with Llezlie Green at Shine in N.Y.C. recently and have been playing phone tag with Jim Meyer (now a Secret Service agent) who (was) stationed in Salt Lake City for the Olympics," Drew wrote.

Tokin Thomas wrote in to say he is the youth entrepreneurship manager at the Corporation to Develop Communities Inc. in Tampa. His program helps students learn business skills, team building, leadership, financial management, verbal communications skills and business etiquette through interactive lessons and exercises. Selected graduates of the program will be chosen to operate and manage The Nehemiah SilkScreen T-shirt Business and the Nehemiah Ice Cream Business Shop, both located in East Tampa.

I heard recently from Thomas Vikoren, who is a fourth-year medical student at Pitt. Following graduation, he will be heading down to Duke University. He will be entering residency in orthopedic surgery and expects to hang out with fellow '97 Dan Fehlauer, who is currently teaching high-school physics in Raleigh.

Dave Coleman and Michelle Ouellette '99 were married at Aquinas House in Hanover in December. Among those present were '97s Jeremy Segal, Mark Landis, Josh Mills, Craig Allen, Dawn Allen, Rusty Young, Brian Hickey, Elijah Cocks, Christy Jackson, Chad Sclove and Jen Jolicoeur. This spring, Dave finished his first year at The Tuck School of Business. Dave is spending the summer working for ExxonMobil in Dallas.

Liz Lajoie also just finished her first year at Tuck. "The program up here is terrific, and it's nice to be 'home' again," Liz wrote.

She said Ana Sanchez, another Tuck classmate, is working for Colgate-Palmolive in New York City this summer in brand management. Alison Schram Baldwin, who graduates from Tuck this spr2ing, will return to Boston this summer with her husband, Tim Baldwin, another Tuck grad. Holly Thomas will be returning to Boston this summer post-Tuck to work full-time for Health Advances. William Hinsdale was recently engaged to Emily Hay '98.

"As for me, I'll be working for L.L. Bean in Freeport, Maine, this summer, focusing on marketing strategy. I'm pretty excited about it, the company's terrific, I love their products and you can't beat coastal Maine in the summer," Liz wrote. In other news, she said Leah Capalbo is still in Boston, working as a research coordinator for thoracic surgery at Brigham & Women's Hospital. Antonia Golianopoulos was recendy engaged to Jonathan Selva; they are both living in N.Y.C. after having graduated from law school.

Liz said she was training for the Vermont Marathon in May. She heard that Craig Whitmer, Ashley Lanfer and Stefan Lanfer recently completed the March 2002 D.C. Marathon.
