Bob and Abigail Kirsch and their reunion committee did a masterful job for our 55th reunion June 10-12. The thanks of the class is offered to them. Attending, according to treasurer Joe Kurey, were 57 classmates and a to tal of 101 persons. The three days were enjoyed by all in spite of the rain on the last day. At the class meeting head agent Frank Weber announced that pledges and funds received totaled $205,047. At the same class meeting, there were elected: president, John Trethaway; vice president, William Hallager; secretary, Donald Page; treasurer, Richard Hollerith; head agent, Frank Weber; newsletter editors, Fred Sistare and Ginny Mather; bequests, Alan Epstein; mini-reunion chairman, Joe Hayes; memorial book program, George Bingham; and Webmaster, Ham Chase. All living members of the class executive committee were reelected. George Bingham asks to be relieved from writing obituaries. His resignation is accepted with the thanks of the class. Outgoing president Andy McCulloch received the thanks of the class as well.
A letter from President Wright to Ham Chase cited the valueof our class presidential intern program and of the contributions made by Jennifer.Tutak this past year. Those who attended the fall mini-reunion in Norwich heard her speak.
Adipping from the Los Angeles Times was forwarded by Joe Eisaman concerning recollections of the TV industry by Grant Tinker, former NBC chairman. His comments indicate that TV was more fun and with less pressure than now. As a class now 55 or more years out of college, we are limited to but 375 words in this bimonthly column. Remember the mini-reunion on November 1-3 at the Norwich Inn in conjunction with the Harvard football game. Joe Hayes will be reminding you personally.
