Hi all. I begin with more baby news. Justine (Wruble) Fahey and Pete Fahey welcomed their baby daughter, Hailey Sage Fahey, into the world on September 28,2001. "We are still really enjoying life in Norwich, Vermont," writes Justine. Pete and Justine see Craig Creelman and his wife, Molly, quite often. Craig and Molly were expecting as well at the time Justine wrote in, so perhaps we will hear from them soon about their own addition to the Dartmouth family! Stan Kowalewski and wife Traci continue to add to the Dartmouth family themselves, proudly announcing the birth of their third child and first daughter, Briana Cadi Kowalewski. She joins her two older brothers (Brendan, 4, and Andrew, 2) in the ever-growing Kowalewski household in Greensboro, North Carolina. Charis (Connell) and Noah Taylor also write to announce the birth of their son, Brendan Scott, who came into the world on May 6 in Houston, Texas, weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces! "It has been an amazing, albeit sleepless, past few weeks," wrote Charis, shortly after Brendan's arrival. "We look forward to moving our family back to the Northeast next June, when Noah completes his residency. I plan on staying home with the baby this year, then probably going back to teaching after we move." Congrats and welcome, all you tiny pea-greeners!
KJ Ward writes with an update on his life since graduation: After completing his M.A. at Harvard, KJ moved with partner Randy Quinones to Hawaii. Randy had just finished up his M.A. at Yale, and took a job with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs doing economic development, while KJ worked for the states Department of Human Services. "Now we're both back in New England, where Randy is in his second year of a doctoral program in economics at Harvard and I'm directing an adolescent social services program in Boston and consulting for public and private agencies," writes KJ. When he is not working, KJ can be spotted with neighbor Heather Searles. "When she's not hanging out (or consulting) with me," writes KJ, "she's coordinating the programs at The Women's Center in Cambridge." Thanks for the update, KJ! Al Winkler, member of the class of '44, writes to give us an update on our former class prez Jen (Suhie) Hagelston. Al mailed me a program from Jen's wedding, so I can tell you some of the vitals of this very special occasion—Jen and husband Mark Hagelston were married last July 7 in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The '94s in the wedding parly included Robin Shields, Ashley Bowen and Andrea Darling. Now I can tell you about all the prayers and readings at Jen's wedding as listed in this lovely program, but I think we'll wait for Jen to share the juicier details, including what she and Mark are up to these days! Congrats, you two, and thanks, Al, for sending us this info. Al actually shared our graduation day with us eightyears ago, as he reminds us: 'As you'll recall we shared the same graduation in '94—ours was the 'graduation that never was' until our 50th." And ours will be the "graduation that never was outdoors" until our 50th, I'm afraid! OK, folks, I need more news. Please write! Take care.
