This one will be a brief one because I vacationed a bit and just returned. Went to St. Bart's, Gasparilla Island (Florida), and am now getting ready to go to Paris and after that, Canterbury in England. This last one a Dartmouth trip. I just wanted you to know I have now broadened my activities beyond Lebanon, White River Junction and Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Now for real news. Discussed the Alumni Fund with the supreme head agent, Tom Adams. We have a goal of $100,000—and have not reached it yet. So when you get this, not too late to make the June 30 deadline. Thank you to all who have given and those who will. I write often about Adams but never about Adams the worker. I'm told he now received an award for the best CD for an alumni fundraiser. It was for Sweetbriar College and he is helping raise $100 million.Tom tells me this award is a big one and equivalent of getting an Oscar. I haven't checked that out but if he says so, who am I to doubt. Congrats, Tom!

I've written before about Jim Crawford. At the Dartmouth relays last January last Jim broke the American indoor record for the 16-pound weight throw. This in the men's 75-79 age group. Jim's a regular competitor in this event and the hammer throw, indoors and outdoors. Jim keeps on going and we wish him continued success. The info on Jim came from Pete Barker '54. Thank you, Pete.

It's not too early to tell you that the fall mini-reunion will be October 23,24 and 25. John McClintock will be getting out the details. By that time I hope to have the necessary information about our money on deposit with the library. I've asked earlier about your thoughts.

With sadness I must report the deaths of classmates Robert B. Bade, Eugene P. Shatlock, Stephen J. Hoye, Thomas W. Cohn and Harry J. Spiro. We extend our deepest sympathy to their families.
