First, I want to let all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender classmates know of an All-Class Reunion organized by the D-GALA taking place October 1-3 at the College. See the D- GALA Web site for more information.

Robert Frost's poem Not Taken" inspired Kathy Hoes Provost in naming her personal historian business. Click on www. roadstaken.com to find out more. Kathy interviews individuals interested in a memoir of their life and produces a bound document complete with photos. Kathy and her husband live in the Boston area with their children, Caroline (7) and Brian (4). In addition to working part-time as a freelance writer and personal historian, Kathy keeps busy with kids, community, church, exercise, friends and family. In response to my last columns request for thoughts on juggling career and family, she responded poetically: 'As I think about the path I've chosen (or the path that has chosen me!), the image of a mosaic comes to mind...each piece of my life is an important part of the whole—it fits together somehow to form a picture. It's a satisfying image for me, because in some ways it allows me to have it all—not 'all' of the all, but my precious family plus pieces of the 'all.'"

Ann Ball briefly surmises the theme of her life as "music and kids, kids and music." She just returned from Sacramento, where she, with her new Sweet Adeline quartet, Special Delivery, placed 12th out of 27 and her chorus placed first in the Northern California division. I myself am very familiar with the Sweet Adelines, since I grew up with a father devoted to barbershop singing, but for those of you who didn't, they are a female barbershop singing organization. Soon Special Delivery will have a repertoire and be available for gigs in the San Francisco Bay Area. See their Web site at www.specialdeliveryquartet.com. Anns husband, Chris, was transferred from Portland, Maine, to San Jose, California, last February and they are now living in Saratoga, California, with their three boys: Kyle (14), Willie (7) and Cooper (3). The family returns to their camp in Maine for summer. Another translation: "Camp" to New Englanders means a personal cabin.

Chuck Ankeny's and Becky (Wolcott) Ankeny's lives could be summarized as "kids, sports and snow." The Ankenys live in Minnesota, where Becky is the director of alumni and parent relations at The Blake School. You can check out Chucks new company, Original Snowboard Art, at www.originalsnowboardart.com. Their sons, Peter (14 1/2) and Michael (13), share Chucks passion for winter sports. Their primary addiction is ski-racing, but they also compete in swimming, tennis, lacrosse and soccer.

Addendum to news on Peter Swann. In my last column I let you know about Peters street band, the Doc.commers, and mentioned his son, Connor (9), who serves as barker and hat-passer for the musicians. Others in the Swann family deserve equal publicity, namely, his wife, Kathy, an RN who works at a local hospice, son Garrett (7) and daughter Kare (3). Also, it is gratifying to hear that Peter loves his job as medical director for the Concentra Medical Center in San Leandro, California, focusing exclusively on the health care of employees. Peters "mosaic" pieces include Cub Scouts, sports, church and, of course, his music.

Addendum to news on me. Introducing Cleo Lucia, born January 13 and joining siblings Pepper (14 in July), Kysen (11) and Gabriel (2). Do I hold the record for oldest '83 woman to give birth? Let me know.
