Class of '63s at 63: We don't stop. Chris Wiedenmayer, who reinvigorated a nearly century-old family pencil company, is hoping to do the same with the family brewery that shut down after Prohibition. The original Wiedenmayer Brewing was founded by Chris' great-grandfather in Newark, home then to more than 50 breweries. Today only the Anheuser-Busch plant still stands. Chris' Jersey Lager is brewed in nearby Bedminster and is on sale wherever fine beers are sold.

Lawyer Ed McCabe got fed up speaking to judges and juries, so now he speaks to everyone, about everything, especially the war, through Everyman, his blog at www.e-manonline.com. Tom Holzel,who's written about World War II and shooting crows, is offering up Whileaway: EroticTales for Weary Travelers, by T. Martin Woody (pen name) available on Amazon.com and described and excerpted on www.velocitypress.com/pages/whileaway/php.

Four-term congressman Don Sherwood is fighting for reelection as Democrats try to unseat him in the largely rural 10th district of north-western Pennsylvania. Swimmer Kirk Vernon placed fifth in the butterfly at the 2005 Senior Olympics at the University of Pittsburgh.

Chris Miller fictionalized a 1960s AD house in Animal House. Now Jeff Lapic, recently retired from Bank of America, is tracking the whereabouts of their brothers once they entered the so-called real world. Fred Jones, Jeff reports, is a ski resort executive, and recently named CEO of Winter Sports, a resort operator in Whitefish, Montana. Mick McCamy is an engineer with the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Los Angeles. Arnold Low, formerly head of computer operations at First Nationwide Savings, has retired and lives in San Francisco with his wife, Junko. Al Mayer, proud uncle of Zach Mayer '08, a Class of' 63 Scholar, lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and is a researcher for Roper. Brad Denny owns real estate and writes poetry in Northfield, Vermont. As for Chris Miller, he was honored last year at the national AD convention and is currently working on a book about the real AD house.

Tom Carter, who started as a Peace Corps volunteer in India, works for the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington. Former lawyer and cop Bill Bottger of Pasadena, California, is in Iraq as a volunteer in the Crimes Liaison Office. Len Levitts book, Conviction,won the first non-fiction award of the Mystery Writers of America and has been re-issued in paperback. John Bailey is retired from flying Boeings for U.S. Air and lives in Davidson, North Carolina.

Head agent Bob Bysshe led'63s to a $295,897 fandraising total, a 13 percent increase over 2004 and 7.5 percent more than the 2005 goal. Bob, who splits his time between New Hampshire and Florida, lunched in Hanover with Josh Faiola '06, a pitcher whose recruitment was funded by our class. Bob and Beth also hosted a reception for football coach Buddy Teevens '79 at Harbour Ridge in Palm City, Florida.

Burt Albert of Roanoke, Virginia, married Melinda Muncey and Bruce Deery of Lake Lanier, South Carolina, married Carol Whaley. Burt and Bruce had each been married previously.
