Greetings from Ragusa Ibia in Sicily. Nancy and I have just finished biking 50 kilometers along these rolling hills and terraced land that frames the Sicilian landscape. Every-where where we rode today, citrus in bloom or olive trees resting from last falls harvest surrounded us. It's pure wonder and a reminder that there is a big world out there. Now, one shower and a glass of wine later, the sun is setting from our balcony as we watch it slowly sink into the ocean, where the outlines of Malta can be seen far away in the distance. We're a long way from Hanover, New Hampshire, that is for sure.

On to the mail.

I received a copy of Michael Winer's newly published book, Healing: The Path to Freedom. Mike is a healer and teacher of the healing arts. Since 1986 he has been in clinical practice in Portland and Hood River, Oregon. Following Dartmouth he got his doctorate from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland. Must have been those long hours rowing on the Connecticut that led Mike to the spiritual. It's a great book and published by Author House.

Jack Foley was recently appointed vice president for government and community affairs and campus services at Clark University in Worcester. Prior to his appointment Jack was executive assistant to the president at Clark and business manager and director of community relations. He was elected to the Worcester School Committee in 1999 and has been a longtime champion of the Worcester community and a tireless supporter of the University Park Partnership. Jack is married to Robin and has three children, Brian, Lindsay and Mara.

Finally, I received an interview from the Contra Costa Times with Peter Darbee, the newly appointed CEO of Pacific Gas and Electric Co. For any of us that live in California or are PG&E customers, you can get a sense of the challenges in front of Peter as he looks to return PG&E to its former glory days and instill new values into the organization. We wish him well.

Well that is it for now. More biking ahead for Nancy and me. Remember the reunion is just a few short weeks ahead. Hope to see you all there. Enjoy the rest of spring.
