A big wah-hoo-wah to Scott Palmer, elected to the board of directors of the Tucker Foundation.

More and more classmates are enjoying our mini-reunions, which are relaxed, reasonably priced and friendly affairs.

Now comes word that Bob Helsell, along with Bob King, Bob Kline and Tim Rich, is arranging a mini for all of us in Seattle next June 5-8. What an opportunity! These fellows all live there, know the best things to do, the best places to dine without breaking our banks and the ways to have the most fun in their hometown. Put this on your calendar now and look for details in the class newsletter.

Jim Burke, living in Vermont, is enjoying golf among other things, has high hopes for Buddy Teevens and Dartmouth football and says he is thinking about being at the Seattle mini since it would connect nicely with seeing his son and family in Portland.

Fritz Arens, now of Columbus, Ohio, and Captiva in the winter, says that the thing he enjoys most about retirement is, "Every day is different. I'm attending local sporting events (high school games, professional football and farm team baseball), movies every week, Cape Cod for a visit every summer and Las Vegas every January." All of that in spite of the two stents Fritz had inserted several months ago. After Dartmouth Fritz served Navy time at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and later sold surgical instruments and medical equipmentas a career, retiring in 1996. Fritz conveyed the sad news of the passing of Bruce Andrews.

Barlow Nelson writes, "I took down my law shingle in September 2004." He is spending great amounts of time as an officer and trustee of the newly organized World Figure Skating Museum and Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs.

In addition, Charlie and Sue Pinkerton are looking around the Hanover/New London area for a house, perhaps their retirement home someday. The area attracts many because of easy access to highly rated medical facilities, the intellectual stimulation and entertainment value of College events, already present friendly classmates and proximity to a fine mini-hub airport (Manchester) for easy traveling.

Read Heydt writes from sunny Naples, Florida, that on October 1 he began a new adventure as the vicar of St. Andrews on the small island of Boca Grande. Among his parishioners are the Tom Aleys and Bill Colehowers. Bill recently had dinner in Colorado with Peter and Joan Jaffee, whom he describes as "cattle ranchers from McCoy. Also, Peter is still practicing law."

Nick Procino is at Boca Raton, where he is starting a new career in the real estate business.

Our annual 59 Florida golf outing and dinnerwill be February 28 to March 1 in Boca Grande. Call Bill Colehower, (941) 964-2266, for reservations and help with accommodations.
