The old faithful are going ahead with plans for our 69th mini-reunion in Hanover on September 29 and 30. Berenson, Collis, Koop, Putnam, Doremus, Doran, Handrahan, Fenn are expected to be there, health permitting. Others? Let's hear from you.

This may make us the oldest class ever to maintain this mini tradition so long. We have tried without success to persuade another class to augment the numbers by joining with us. No success: 1940 doesn't want to play; 1939 hasn't had a mini-reunion in three years; and 193 8 hasn't decided yet.

Bill Rotch continues to grind out Mint Bag newsletters that are models for other classes. Even though the bill just went to him by mistake. It goes to Sue Young in Blunt Hall, and the class will keep paying for it as long as Bill is willing to write it.

Special thanks to Bill for his nice comments about my Fearful Times. And to President Wright for his congratulations upon my completion of the Colonial history trilogy.

Recommended fun for your old age: Get on the Dartmouth applicant interview committee for your region. We placed two girls in the freshman class last year from our city, and we expect to do even better this year. We are encouraging 12 well-qualified applicants. One is flying off to Cambodia next month on a medical mission, and she goes on from there to Moscow for a student United Nations assembly.

Small world; huge talents.

Some of you will remember Jack Kenny, who roomed in College Hall in 1934. Grandson Bode Miller of Olympic fame appears to be a chip off the old block. I remember Jack as, shall we say, boisterous.
