In southern Maine in early April we were sort of celebrating the fact that our winter had been less severe than usual. And then in mid-April came the storm—heavy rain and high winds, leaving us without power for several days and no cable TV for almost a week. We finally had a taste of extreme weather that in one way or another had hit most of the country. We're looking forward to a warm, quiet summer!

I do have a few Green Cards with information about classmates. Hank Dearborn is living in a retirement community called Collington, and his address is Apt. 259,10450 Lottsford Road, Mitchellville, MD 20721-3303. Hank says, "I am still driving so have an independence that many of my friends here do not have." As someone who is not still driving I can appreciate how fortunate he is.

A note from David King, whose father, Jerome King, died in 1989, notifies us that his mother, Charlotte S. King, passed away on January 8.

Irene M.Franklin, widow of Fred Franklin has a new address: PO Box 251, Putnam, CT 06260.

Back in March I had a nice card from Gerry Kappler. She says her only big trips these days are to California and New York to visit sons and families. She closed by saying, "Give my best to all. I truly miss Hanover and New England." Well said.
