You'll get this in plenty of time to sign up for our mini-reunion. Notice has been sent and you can send your checks to me. Dates are October 18,19 and 20. The football opponent is Columbia. Hope to see you then. Tom Adams tells me we reached our goal for the Alumni Fund. Still a few days to go and I'll give you the grand total in my next effort. Not sure I told you but Gus Gillaugh is now our bequest chair. He can be reached at 4579 Gullane Circle, Dayton, OH 45429. So if you wish to remember the College in a financial way, get to Gus. He succeeds Ralph Smith in this job. Ralph, you did a great job and we thank you! Received notice from Harry Sarkisian that says he's "80 again" (as of the 23rd). Big bash at his Short Hills home. Harry, stop the kidding. I have your birth date and it ain't 1927! But congrats from all of us. Bert Ibelle wrote saying he couldn't make the mini. He'll be reuning with his buddies from the 483 rd bomb group (Italy, WWII). Tried to call Bert. His phone broke the American record for being busy. Long talk with the Rev. Don Fitzsimmons. He's long retired but active in the Dartmouth book award program in greater Boston. This group is very much involved with the memory of poet Robert Frost. In talking with Don we came up with a little known fact. The class of 1946 produced nine who became ministers or priests! An amazing fact and if you want the names give me a call or write. And now I must sadly report the deaths of the following classmates: Robert E. Adamson, May 9; Robert C. Beetham, December 29, 2006; Newton S. Miler, February 24; Andrew J. Murtha, April 24; Rex S. Sleighter, May 5; and Paul R. Wilbur, February 5. We express our sincere sympathy to their famliles.
