I had an absolutely fabulous time at the wedding of Robert Hallowell and Deepa Rangachari in Chicago over Memorial Day weekend. Julie Matteini, Susan Roy, Will Kwan, Lysbet Verlenden, Nathan Bender, Amanda Plagge, Elizabeth Hamon Reid, John Paul Reid '02, Natasha Himmelman, Eddie Le '00, Devon Green '02, Rucheeta Kulkarni '02, Sarah Webb '02 and Kerry McGraw 'O4 were all on hand to celebrate too. The happy couple honeymooned in Mexico before moving here to Baltimore, where they will start residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins.

Nicole Hauptman graduated from NYU School of Medicine this May and is doing a preliminary year in internal medicine at NYU before moving to Boston for an ophthalmology residency at the Boston Medical Center. She recently got married to Cory Siegel '02, and Danielle Avedon, Lara Kagan, Kate Reibel, Mary Fraga, Amy Marcus, Hillary Shaw and Vanessa Frey were all able to attend.

Rachel Kon recently wrote, "Match Day just passed and I am very excited to have matched into the internal medicine residency program at Georgetown University Hospital. I am recently engaged to Jeff Wasikowski (Bucknell '03, Duke Law '06), who is an attorney in D.C." After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Rachel moved to D.C. and is planning an August 2008 wedding in Cordillera, Colorado, once her intern year is over.

Daniel Phelan checked in as well. "For the past two years I've been in the Peace Corps in Uganda. I lived roughly 30 miles north of the Equator and 40 miles east of the source of the Nile. I was working with about 40 widows' organizations on a variety of issues, mostly environmental and income generation. I'm probably proudest of the pineapple-drying project I set up. We received a grant to plant around eight acres of pineapples and build eight dryers and still had around $500 left over to begin buying fresh pineapples to dry. We even found a company, Fruit of the Nile, that will export our fruits to the United Kingdom and we hope the U.S. someday soon as well! It's been a really intense experience. I never realized how much of Peace Corps would just be talking to people, biking, walking or dealing with corruption." Now that he's back home, Dan has begun a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Oregon.

Lara N. Dotson-Renta admitted she was behind on this update! "Adam Dotson and I are coming up on our first wedding anniversary. We got married in Philadelphia on July 2, 2006. Bridesmaids included Vanessa Durand, Mobarka Ansari, Pradine Saint-Fort '05 and Vanessa Ferro '00. Lan Storey '04 was among the grooms men and Kamil Walji served as the wedding's planner/spiritual advisor. Between the salsa band, open bar and Aires serenades, fun was had by all! Adam received his M.F.A. from the University of the Arts this May and is beginning an M.B.A. at Temple University in August. I am continuing my Ph.D. in Spanish literature at the University of Pennsylvania and we will be visiting Spain and Morocco this summer. Yay, travel grant!"

Sarah Murray got engaged to Steve Sliva '02, "who proposed at Tuckerman Ravine on Mount Washington earlier this spring. We're planning a May 2008 wedding in Vermont."

Kristin Broms is "performing as the Millers son in a British Pantomime rendition of Puss InBoots. The play will be shown at the Oregon Country Fair in July. If anyone is in Eugene they should come to the fair and see the show!" Finally, Neha Narula won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for computer science.
