the new year is upon us as I write this and we all realize next year is our 40th reunion. As previously mentioned many among us would like to make that gathering the big one. Ongoing efforts behind the scene are taking place to prepare the many aspects of this reunion and you need only go to the class Web site to get a glimpse of those activities and offer your assistance.
As I read columns from other classes I realize ours is not the only class lacking regular information about one another. Our newsletter editor and I are able to draw stories from some of you butvolunteered information is not usually forthcoming. I noted with sadness the class of'35 is about to cease publishing a Class Notes column due to lack of participation. That certainly is not about to happen here and I hope there will be many of us around when we approach our own 73 rd reunion to still regale one another with tales of our extraordinary lives. In the meantime as this is being written in the holiday season we find a time of famine in our stories of classmates and their experiences and achievements. Perhaps it is the result of an active fall with many of you attending Home coming and providing much information from that gathering. We also have been treated to a very informative December '69 Times. But as we approach the new year your secretary has very little to work with. Lets see if we can't improve the information flow in 2008. Tell me about any meetings or mini-reunions you have with one, two or several classmates—whether it is a dinner party or ski weekend, please share the good times. I also believe we could make better use of the Web site. I visit the site frequently and usually find I am the only person logged on. Granted, there is considerable construction on the site, but it still contains a wealth of information about classmates and what the class leaders are doing. Visit it. Leave your mark. Chances are someone will respond.
Sadly we must report that Richard Osberg died in October. Dick's obituary appears in this issue.
As always, Allen Denison and I are eager to hear from you. As are your classmates.
