Hello '07s.

It is true what they say: Dartmouth people are everywhere. Nadia Ali began medical school at Southern Illinois University. Despite the small student population, most of which is from Illinois, she reports, "Weird enough though there's an '03 in my class; no other Ivies represented. You can find Dartmouth people everywhere even in a small town in southern Illinois."

Katie Amato, who is in Mexico, wrote in to say that she and Liz Keenan had a mini-reunion at the Zapatista headquarters restaurant in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas.

Other '07s who are staying closer to home are also finding themselves among a fun Dartmouth crowd. Laura Pearlstein, Lorraine Buhannic, and Leslie Pearl are living together in New York's East Village. They are "generally nesting and spending altogether too much time crafting the perfect dinner party menu. Let us know the next time you're in town, and we'll wine and dine you with Trader Joe's best!"

Sara Studebaker writes: "I have been doing biathlon (cross country skiing and target shooting) professionally on the U.S. biathlon development team since graduation. I qualified to travel to Europe to race in the European Cup series in January. I will be traveling to and racing in Osrblie, Slovakia, and Langdorf, Germany."

Sarah Uhl also wrote in to update that she is in West Hartford, Connecticut, working for Clean Water Action, an environmental nonprofit. She leads the Coalition for a Safe & Healthy Connecticut, working to reduce exposure to toxic chemicals. She explains, "The coalition is a growing alliance of health professionals, workers, environmental justice groups, citizens and the public health community. Prior to taking on this role I coordinated the CT Alliance Against Diesel Pollution, which successfully passed legislation requiring pollution controls on all the school buses in the state and supplying the needed funding ($10 million). Entering the nonprofit world has been all about learning on my feet, and I am enjoying the challenge while trying not to lose too many hairs!"

I hope everyone is enjoying the transition to spring. It is great to hear from you and please keep the updates coming.

Until next time,
