Candace Locklear writes that she is. "loving life" in Oakland Hills, California, with husband Doug and 4-year-old daughter Clara Mae, who "acts like a petite actress." Candace works at a boutique PR agency and recently attended a wedding on Long Island, where she ran into none other than fellow Bay Area resident Dave Kramer and his wife, Jody. Dave is a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he specializes in Internet-related litigation and counseling, with a focus on intellectual property. Dave is lead litigation counsel for Google in a variety of matters and has obtained precedent-setting victories for the company in lawsuits involving copyright law, online defamation, click-fraud and search rankings. As if that doesn't sound impressive enough, Dave was named one of the Daily Journal's 2008 "50 Leading IP Litigators in California" and as a northern California "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and SanFrancisco Magazine in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The challenge of the job, Dave told a reporter, is in dealing with novel legal theories. "Most attorneys get to make law infrequently. We get to do it in virtually every case."
Another northern California resident, Bryan Roberts, reports he's been investing in little health care companies for the last 10 years at venture fund Venrock. He spends his free time with his family—wife Adrienne and kids Russell (9) and Anthe (8)—and tries to get outdoors and stay in shape, mostly, he says, trail running now that they live in the beautiful Bay Area. They also spend much of the summer at their house in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Bryan says he recently saw classmate Jim Mills at AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants) for family day on the field. The kids played catch in the outfield and took batting practice and the big kids (Jim and Bryan) got to do the same. Bryan says that Jim seems to be doing nicely at a venture fund, Vantagepoint Partners.

She has daughters Zoe (8) and Sydney (almost 5). He currently works with Vault, an online executive career research site. He previously developed programming for Clear Channel Communications, which owns and operates more than 1,200 radio stations in the United States and others overseas. After college Jeff got a glimpse of the rock star life, traveling around the country with folks such as Mick Fleetwood, as a radio producer, putting together programs for ABC and Westwood One. He later attended law school at USC and started a retail display company with Jan Brzeski that they sold after about 10 successful years. Jeff says, now it's on to the future in digital businesses.
