Alan Alda appears on campus as a Montgomery Fellow. A few years back he starred in a little show called M*A*S*H. These days he’s into science, hence the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University.

As the Homecoming bonfire burns, freshmen huff and puff their way around the blaze 117 times. Ah, tradition!

Bluegrass fever hits the Hopkins Center as banjo power couple Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn perform at 7 p.m.
