Rev. Daniel Ezra Putnam died May 2 at Unionville, Conn. He was born in Bethel, Vt., November 27, 1867. He fitted for college at the high school of Randoph, Vt., where his home then was, and where his father, Joel B. Putnam, still lives at an advanced age. He was a member of the Theta Delta Chi fraternity. For the first three years after graduation he studied at Bangor Seminary in preparation for the Congregational ministry, and then filled the following pastorates: Bakersfield, Vt., 1898-1900; Houlton, Me., 1900-6; Mystic, Conn., 1906-8. He then became connected with the Protestant Episcopal church, becoming rector of Christ church at Unionville. January 4, 1899, he was married to Mary E. Purinton of Bangor, Me., who survives him. They had no children.
