The first match of the year of the tennis team was played May 11, against Amherst at Northampton, and resulted in a tie, each team winning a double and two single matches.

The next afternoon Holyoke canoe club was defeated, five matches to one.

Connecticut Aggies were defeated May 18, the Dartmouth players taking all six matches.

FRESHMAN TENNIS

In their first match of the season, and the first match in which a freshman team has ever appeared for the College, the freshmen defeated Dean Academy, May 13, 5 to 1.
