Horace H. Sears is head of the mathematical department of the California School of Mechanic Arts, in San Francisco. He lives in Redwood- City.

Guy A. Ham is elected to the governor's council of Massachusetts from the Second Councilor District. During the presidential campaign he took the stump for Taft in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The national committee called for a man who could stand on the top of the Times Building in New York and make the people in the street hear, and Ham was sent on as meeting the requirements.
