Rev. Newell C. Maynard was formally installed pastor of the South Congregational church in Peabody, Mass., December 6.

Charles S. Leavitt, who has been studying" in Hartford Theological Seminary, gives permission to state in these columns that he "has abandoned preparing for the ministry, having adopted the radical views of the modern New Testament scholars of Germany."
