Happy Holidays to All! Twenty-two, last of the small classes, delights in welcoming '96, the youngest class, into the Dartmouth fellowship. They matriculated with a little uncertainty, wondering how they were going to like Dartmouth and how Dartmouth would like them. The incoming class of 1,081 freshmen is highly endowed intellectually. The 485 women and 596 men include 168 school valedictorians. Mean SAT scores of the class are 624 verbal and 684 math. Old timers sincerely hope '96 will score equally well in all athletic and extra-curricular activities. The class comes from 50 states with 35 members from 26 foreign countries. And they come to a Dartmouth that generally receives a number-one or -two rating in student satisfaction among American colleges.

A frequent question whenever Twoters meet: "How many of us are still breathing?" As we near the end of 1992, the class has 19 alumni on its "active and interested" list. The designation "alumnus" applies to anyone who has shown continued interest in the College regardless of how long they were in Hanover. Seventeen of the 19 contributed to the 1992 Alumni Fund and paid current class dues. Contributions by bequest were received from eight deceased classmates. There are 21 ladies of 1922 and some class children whose memorial participation is highly appreciated. Thus the last of the small classes continues its fealty to Dartmouth.
