Professor Bingham of the Psychological Department has instituted a system of tests intended to determine the typical freshman mind, and to give the men tested an estimate of their own mental ability.
These examinations, applied to every member of the class, will be for natural rather than acquired mental ability. Eventually the data collected will be classified to advise students, on the basis of their, mental tendencies in . the choice of a vocation. The class of 1917 and succeeding classes will be given another. series of tests senior year to record the mental progress made during the college course.
