Misfortune in the form of injuries or sickness has followed the Green basketball team this season, and may very well serve as an alibi for three successive defeats in league contests. Captain Snow's development was greatly retarded by his football injury. Brownell, the crack forward of the team, and Sisson, the other star forward, went under the surgeon's knife for appendicitis within two weeks of each other. Neither can play for some time yet. Dartmouth lost only by narrow margins notwithstanding these handicaps, to Yale, Princeton and Columbia. On the Christmas trip the team lost to. Yale in New Haven 26-20 and to Princeton at Princeton 24-21. Columbia came to Hanover and took away the laurels, 15-13.

Dartmouth is now at the bottom of the league, but Coach Reed looks for a turn of the tide in the next game.
