Mr. Tibbetts sends the following note to the editor of the MAGAZINE as an addendum to his article "Football at Dartmouth" published in the May issue:

"My attention has been called by Dr. J. P. Houston 'B4 to the fact that there was a definite rule in the "Old Division" game of football against running with the ball clasped in the arms; but that running was allowed, if the runner kept the ball bounding in the air from his outstretched hand much after the manner of 'dribbling' in basketball. Many men became adept at this style of running, but Oakes '83 was easily the most skillful."
