Ralph C. Jenkins, for two years assistant principal of Burr and Burton Seminary, Manchester, Vt., has been elected principal of Black River Academy, at Ludlow, Vt., and will begin his duties at the beginning of the next school year.
Carl Edward Buck has been appointed as the first health commissioner of Oak Park, Ill., under a new ordinance. Buck took a year of work in sanitary engineering at Tech, leaving there before the close of the year to go to Serbia as a member of the American Red Cross Sanitary Commission, whose successful task it was to stamp out typhus fever. He has recently returned from this service, in which he had many thrilling experiences.
