FACULTY NOTES

At the recent annual meeting in Pittsburg of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Professor Patten was elected President of Section F, Zoology.

Professor A. H. Basye of the History Department, who has been teaching for the past semester at the University of Minnesota, has returned to his work at Dartmouth.

Mr. William Chisholm '18, who has completed the requirements for the bachelor's degree in three years and a half, has been appointed to an instructorship in English in the place of Mr. F. C. Nelson, resigned.

Mr. G. C. Loud, instructor in English since 1913, has resigned to accept an assistant professorship in the School of Journalism at the University of Kansas.
